历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历：村内有一个名叫西门角的自然村，因而得名。[1]
民国时期是中和乡第十一堡，解放初期叫第十一村。1957年并入岳管高级社，1958年划归贵子乡，次年改隶朱砂公社，由其平民管理区办事处代管。其后1961年自函关分出西门大队，1967年又同函关、函口并作函关大队，1980年西门大队再度独立。1983年建乡，随后几经易名：1987年成为村民委员会，1989年为管理区办事处，1999年重新定名西门村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
西门村地形为低丘陵，气候属南亚热带季风类型，年均气温约20至21度，年降雨量约2100毫米[1]。村内在册466户，人口2412人[1]。耕地1472亩，经济作物以木薯、三华李为主[1]。
村情介绍称，全村有860人外出务工，有养鸡专业户3户。[2]
荣誉[edit]
- 2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
