新联村原名下角，是船埔镇下辖的行政村，自然村有金月、虎地下、上宫、下角，另有老寨、下村、下村洋，共七处。[1]

村子在普宁市区西南方向约26.8公里处，全村总人口2276人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1978年分出自成大队；1983年并入乡建制；1987年设立村委会，1989年改称管理区办事处，1999年确定为村委会名称。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地554亩，山地6490亩。农业以水稻、甘薯为主，村中盛产青梅、橄榄。近年村中大面积种植乌橄榄，果形呈三棱状，果肉饱满，俗称石站橄榄，普宁市农业果蔬研究所已将其归入优质品种。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年12月，新联村入选第二批「国家森林乡村」，名单由国家林业和草原局公布。[1]
