西村位于洪阳镇，村内有省级文物保护单位普宁学宫。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1963年独立成为西村大队；1979年按自然村设西村大队；1984年撤社建区，隶属洪阳区，编入洪阳城镇；1987年划归洪阳镇，改设西村村委会；1991年转为管理区；1999年恢复村委会名称，沿用至今。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

普宁学宫始建于明万历三年（1575年），清康熙六十年（1721年）大修，专为祭祀孔子而建。1961年列为县级文物，2015年12月定为省级文物保护单位。[2][3]
