金星村在灰寨镇西部，离镇区约六公里，与大溪镇为邻；村中有龙湖、乌黎、田心三个自然村[1]。

从镇中心到金星村要翻越两重山，其中三公里是山路。村中以农业与养殖为生计，许多人外出务工或经商，村集体经济较弱[1]。

金星公路建成后，行路难的状况有所缓解[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，本村入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。2023年5月，本村获得「2022年广东省卫生村」称号，由广东省爱卫会授予[1]。
