地名与沿革[edit]
旧称金陂村。据博雅地名网，这是龙田镇最早办起农业合作社的村子，成绩突出，被比作农民心中的一颗明星，改叫金星。[1]1951年属凉伞乡；1958年为金星大队；1983年改乡，1987年称村；1989年称管理区，1999年起为村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
龙岭围和龙兴围均建于清代，是兴宁市县级文物保护单位。[1]龙兴围在三样片，始建于清雍正年间，是廖氏所建的三堂二横四角楼转一围围龙屋，门额刻有雍正九年字样；2010年8月13日列为第二批“兴宁市特色古民居”。[2]
荣誉[edit]
「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」于2026年1月评出，金星村在列。[1]
