西门社区位于饶平县黄冈镇老城区西部，居委会因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年归黄冈镇第六办事处；1960年为西门居委会，1983年改设西门办事处，1986年复为西门居委会。[1]1990年为西门街道管理办事处，1999年又称西门居委会。[1]

丁未路北侧的「饶平余氏大宗祠（敦本堂）」位于本社区，该祠在明洪熙元年（1425年）已建，清乾隆十三年（1748年）重修，2007年和2010年又经修缮。[1]
