冲口村位于南朗街道东部，东临珠江口，西接左步村，北隔丰阜湖与濠涌村相望，下辖冲口、冲口门上栏、大埔环3个自然村[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村子面对珠江口，隔着海面与大茅岛、二茅岛遥遥相对，南侧挨着龙穴村的鸡头角[1]。全村面积6.61平方公里，耕地3225亩，山地2015亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武十四年（1381年），此地改乡为都，涌口村归属大字都[1]。清道光七年（1827年），香山县的都制合并调整，四字都与大字都合为四大都，涌口村隶属四大都[1]。

光绪初年（1875年），都改为镇，涌口村属东镇；宣统二年（1910年），东镇改为第四区[1]。

1998年，村子改由南朗镇管辖，设涌口村民委员会，村内分为两个村民小组，即涌口门上栏、大埔环[1]。
