姚沙社区是广东省肇庆市四会市贞山街道下辖的社区，在绥江西岸，与四会旧城区隔河相望，西邻肇庆市鼎湖区莲花镇，四莲公路穿境而过。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
姚沙在1959年是姚沙乡，1962年改为大队，隶属清塘公社；1993年变为管理区，归清塘镇。1994年清塘镇撤销，划入贞山街道。村民委员会设于1998年，2012年11月村改居，改设社区居民委员会。[2]
地名由来[edit]
此地在绥江边，洪水一来，泥沙盖住农田，村民只能把沙挑开让作物生长，戏称挑沙村，后来“挑”字被写成“姚”。[3]
经济[edit]
博雅地名网的介绍（未注明年份）称，姚沙总面积1万多亩，辖25个村民小组，1113户、4278人；以种养业为主，鱼塘有2000多亩，菜地1000多亩，菜以生葱为主，据称占四会市场供应的八成以上。[1]
荣誉[edit]
姚沙社区在2021年12月获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2026年1月又获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
