博雅地名网载，村内有854户农户、3267人（该页未注明年份），划为13个村小组。[1] 地貌为丘陵低山，该页称这里气温年均22.1℃、雨量年均1239.1毫米；耕地1965亩，另有山地15144亩；农户收入主要来自柑橘、水稻和蔬菜。[1]

村名取自村委会驻地：1998年经县政府批准设立，因设在上垌村而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
行政建置依次为：上垌大队（1961年4月），上垌乡人民政府（1983年9月），上垌村委会（1986年11月），上垌管理区办事处（1989年4月），上垌村民委员会（1998年11月）。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2020年8月，省农业农村厅将上垌村（萝卜）列入首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1]
