横坑社区是广东省东莞市寮步镇下辖的社区，地处镇子的西北角，位于广深经济走廊中段，离市区很近。[1]

社区面积约5.8平方千米，登记在册的居民共1889户，人口为5824人，常住人口则约三万。辖内分为五个村民小组，细分成14个生产队。[1] 社区旧称「横塘」，其古村始建于元代，村中古建筑带有明代风格。[1][2]

发展历程[edit]

改革开放前，这里主要靠种水稻、甘蔗、木薯与荔枝为生。20世纪80年代村民转种橙柑，一度成为东莞知名的橙柑产地。90年代，村里先后完成了基础设施的打通与平整，并建起工业园区。2013年4月，村组两级经济合并为一级核算。[1]

古村与文物[edit]

古村背靠山势而建，形如扇面。明代以来陆续建起三十多座宗祠，现存状况较好的约十座，钟氏祠堂便在其中，它是市级重点保护文物，也被归入东莞四大祠堂。另有横坑家庙，属东莞三大家庙之一。[1][2]

湖泊与古树[edit]

横丽湖约130多亩，弯弯地绕着古村，俗称「月亮湖」。湖边有二十多棵百年以上的古树，其中一棵细叶榕约650年，人称「榕树头」；还有一棵老榕与其气根长出的新干相连，名为「连理古榕树」。湖畔的百年芒果树有16棵，最长的超过520年。[1]

民俗[edit]

村里保留「太公分肉、分鱼」的旧俗，每年端午前后在横丽湖办龙舟文化节，此外有醒狮巡游、粤剧粤曲，以及环湖长跑等活动。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区拿过的称号包括「全国和谐社区建设示范社区」「国家级充分就业社区」，以及省级的乡村治理示范村与宜居示范村庄。2023年11月它被列为广东「百千万工程」首批典型村，2024年4月又被列入乡村振兴示范村创建名单。[1]
