上洞村在企石镇东北部，全村面积约4.8平方千米，下辖11条自然村，常住人口2573人，共698户。[1]

2026年1月，上洞村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。2021年8月，国家卫生健康委老龄司将它列为「2021年全国示范性老年友好型社区」。2019年9月，村庄入选2018年广东省民主法治示范村名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年，上洞与清湖同属一个民主乡；1952年起组织互助合作组，1955年办低级社，1956年改高级社，1957年并入大社，1958年9月设人民公社。[1]

经济[edit]

全村约有企业28家、员工2500余人，产品涵盖电子、制衣、皮具、印刷、塑胶、木器、五金和化工。村里改造了主要巷道，并在兴建集体厂房。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

博雅地名网列有「击毙日军大佐战场遗址」，在沥口河段，位于新围自然村与大墩圩之间，记载年代为1945年2月26日。[1]
