新联村位于英德市下太镇西南部，东靠下太社区，南与连江口镇相邻，西南与高洞村相接。全村辖17个自然村、19个村民小组，共有2756人（博雅地名网，未注年份）。[1]

地名[edit]

新联村由格田村、新陂村和下洞村联合设立，以此得名。[2]

沿革[edit]

新陂一带1958年为大队，1983年设乡政府，之后村委会与管理区的名称交替出现，1998年又称村委会。2004年12月10日，下洞、格田、新陂三个村委会并为新联村委会，沿用至今。[4]

资源与产业[edit]

村中山林面积约59494亩，以松、杉和杂木为主，生态林2900多亩。种植笋竹2000多亩，年产笋约600吨，砂糖桔种植面积1600亩（博雅地名网，未注年份）。[2]

养猪专业户有87家，每年出栏约5.46万头，养蜂亦有一定规模（博雅地名网，未注年份）。[2]

2019年12月，新联村被列入第二批国家森林乡村，名单出自国家林业和草原局。[1]

规划定位[edit]

《英德市下太镇乡村振兴规划（2022-2035年）》把新联村列为集聚提升类村庄，并以土茯苓种植基地作为特色农业基地之一。[3]
