上洞村是英德市大湾镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西南部，离镇政府约10千米。村委会设在邵屋自然村，全村辖21个自然村。[1]

村名的来历是：驻地四面环山，俗称为「洞」，与东北面的下洞片相对，因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年10月7日起这里称上洞村委会。此前，1990年为上洞管理区，1986年改为村委会，1983年设上洞乡政府；再往前，1958年称上洞大队，1952年为上洞小乡。[1]

2019年9月，上洞村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。广东省爱卫会于2021年12月把「2021年广东省卫生村」称号授予该村。[1]

经济[edit]

村域以山地为主，蕴藏矿产，水源也足。调整农业结构后，村里经济作物种得多了。博雅地名网记人口5138人、耕地3500亩，未注年份。[1]

2026年3月下旬，古洞组的村民集中清淤疏通灌溉渠，累计疏通4.5公里。今年以来，村里整治撂荒耕地图斑40个，复耕复种413.97亩，已种粮食1100余亩、花生640亩。[2]
