新联村在高岗镇中南部，距镇街不足1公里，东侧与三江村接壤，南侧与高镇村为邻[1]。村域面积约15.80平方千米，辖36个村民小组，人口4036人（博雅地名网，年份未注明）[1]。

地名由来[edit]

这个村是由几个新建的村庄并拢组成的，因而取名新联[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1959年5月改为新联大队，1983年底复设新联乡，1987年初改为新联村委会，1990年至1995年为管理区，1995年起为村委会；2005年与新街村委会合为一体[1]。

豆腐节[edit]

豆腐节是新联村的民俗活动，在清远一带独树一帜，2007年列入「广东省非物质文化遗产」[1]。

社岗下村[edit]

社岗下村又称岗下村、社冈下村，位于本村境内，建村于明嘉靖年间或正德前后，村中留存慎德第、庆衍九龙等古建筑[2]。2012年，该村入选「第一批中国传统村落」，同时被列为「第三批广东省古村落」[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2022年8月，新联村被确定为「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。2026年1月，新联村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
