石龙村位于阳西县程村镇，村委会驻地东西两侧的地下有石头，形如一条龙，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年此地属阳江县第六区；1953年划归阳江县十二区长芙乡，1956年归程村区，1958年5月隶属程村乡，同年11月改入大跃进人民公社。1959年重设石龙生产大队，同年10月转入程村人民公社。[2]

1967年改称前进革命委员会，1980年又称石龙生产大队管委会，此后1983年设石龙乡，1987年2月组建石龙村委会，1988年阳西建县后隶属阳西县程村镇。1989年改设石龙管理区，1999年9月恢复石龙村委会。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年度「阳江市卫生村」名单中有新塘村、上花山村（2021年12月确定）。2019年9月，石龙村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]
