平地村是北惯镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域东北部，距镇区约3公里，325国道横穿村境。[1]

村民以种植水稻、水果，养鱼、养鹅、养猪和外出务工为主要生计，村内的生态和文明建设多次获得上级表彰。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，村地属阳江县平乐乡平地都。[3] 此后依次设为乡（1958年起）、大队（1983年起）、管理区办事处（1989年起），1999年设立村委会，沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子距阳江市区约20公里，距阳东县城约10公里，距镇区约3公里。开阳高速公路的北惯出入口在村境内与325国道相接，交通便捷。[2]

全村面积5.68平方千米：山地1050亩，水田1360亩，旱地也有590亩；村民分为7个小组。[1]

人口民族[edit]

全村538户、2138人，数字出自博雅地名网，年份未注。[1]

经济[edit]

村内有万象、外资等工业园区，并引进了绿源有限公司等农业龙头企业，采用公司带基地、基地带农户的生产方式。[2]

2008年的统计显示，全村经济总收入约2100万元，村集体收入75万元，人均纯收入8430元。[1] 2020年8月，平地村入选广东省农业农村厅首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村名单，所列产品为牛大力。[1]

文化[edit]

平地村曾是广东省固本强基工程的联系点。2004年被定为全国民主法治示范村，2005年为广东省文明村，2006年为广东省生态示范村，并获“全国先进基层党组织”和“广东省固本强基先进基层党组织”称号，2007年被定为全国绿色小康村。[2]

2023年11月，平地村入选「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村。[1] 2024年4月，平地村被列入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
