历史沿革[edit]

清末，此地由九个自然村合设西岸村。[2]新中国成立后的1949年，此地设西岸行政村，归一区西北乡；1953年改属一区潭碧乡。[2]1958年公社化初期，此地称西岸管理区，属超美人民公社；1983年设西岸乡，1987年改为村委会，1999年4月复设西岸村委会。[2]2006年8月31日，改属中洲街道。[2]
