新港镇是广东省河源市东源县下辖的镇，位于县境西南部、万绿湖库区之内，东与仙塘镇交界，南接河源市源城区，距东源县城约15公里。镇名原为碉楼，1958年兴建新丰江水电站后，此地成为库区水路交通的港口，1968年改称新港。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清同治十三年（1874年）此地属河源县大洲都南湖约。民国年间，当地为防匪患在山上建碉楼设卡，检查往来船只和行人，地名碉楼由此而来。[2][3]

民国二十九年（1940年）此地划归第一区桥头乡。新中国成立后的1950年，它成为河源县第三区（灯塔）的一部分；1959年转入水库人民公社，1962年改归双江人民公社管理。[2][3]

博雅地名网称新港镇设立于1986年12月，镇政府概况页则以1987年为设立年份。1988年起此地归河源市郊区管辖，至1993年11月改为隶属东源县。[2][3]

新港镇人民政府网站称，全镇总面积166.15平方千米，辖9个行政村和3个社区居委会。博雅地名网载面积约165平方千米，其中陆地面积132.23平方千米，所列社区为2个，与政府网站不同。镇域西接新回龙镇和锡场镇，北与双江镇相邻。[1][2][3]

2004年陂头村并入斗背村，此后陂头不再单独设村。[2]

新港镇人民政府网站称，2025年全镇户籍3648户、19070人。博雅地名网载第七次全国人口普查结果为常住人口5200人，并称该数字在东源县各街道乡镇中居第17位。两者统计口径不同，不宜直接比较。[1][2]

经济与旅游[edit]

博雅地名网概况页所载经济以农业、林业、渔业和旅游业为主，据2002年数据，全镇国民生产总值为3753万元。该页还称镇内新建了一座万绿湖旅游码头，周边有得绿寨、水月湾、镜花岭等景点。[3]

镜花缘景区位于万绿湖旅游码头西南侧，占地约2000亩，以清代小说《镜花缘》为蓝本，景区内有长约3.2公里的百花路，串联若干主题区域。景区为国家4A级旅游景区。[4]

荣誉[edit]

荣誉方面，博雅地名网载，新港镇于2023年10月获评「广东省森林城镇」，2021年1月列入「第二批广东省旅游风情小镇」名单，2020年2月获授「2019年度广东省卫生镇（县城）」称号。新港镇人民政府网站另载，镇政府获「国家级生态乡镇」与「中华蜜蜂之乡」等称号，并列为广东省文明镇，未注明年份。[1][2]
