新港村是汕尾市城区新港街道的村委会，位于汕尾港对岸的半岛上，街道也因它得名。村域约3平方千米，辖5个自然村小组。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网的新港村条目所附沿革写道：先祖明万历年间自福建和五华县陆续迁来；1952年与芳荣并称华仔洞，属东冲乡；1954年设新港乡，1956年设新港大队，归香洲公社；1984年起归汕尾镇；1989年设新港管理区，归新港街道；1999年设村委会。[1]这几段文字在博雅地名网的相邻页面上有错位，此处按其内容所称的名称归入新港。
经济[edit]
村与市区隔着约2公里海面，只能乘渡轮往来，人口2500多人，以耕作和近海捕捞为生，被记为革命老区。近年发展海产养殖，已建养虾基地500多亩。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月公布的省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建名单（2018年度）里有该村；2021年12月获“2021年广东省卫生村”称号。[1]
