泮坑村是新港镇的组成村之一，位于坑尾，有溪流与双田一带的小溪相接，当地人称此处为“泮”，村名由此而来。博雅地名网以此地为半坑村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1999年，东源县政府审批成立泮坑村民委员会，沿用至今。此前该地依次为泮坑大队（1958年）、泮坑乡（1983年）、泮坑管理区（1987年）。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，本村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
