中心村是东水镇下辖的行政村，因位于镇的中心位置而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国二十年，村子隶属上郎仑乡（保），1941年后改归郎仑乡，直至解放初。1952年组建马增乡，乡内有中心、莫丰、坑增等村。1962年成立中心大队；1987年起称中心管理区办事处；1999年5月起名为中心村村民委员会，名称沿用至今。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年3月，中心村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
