新渡村是佗城镇的行政村，村内竹园里有文学评论家萧殷故居的残存角楼。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名的由来，据博雅地名网，是历史上曾与大江渡船头合并过。此地先后建过乡（1953年）、管理区（1957年）、大队（1963年）和乡人民政府（1984年），1987年起设村委会，1989年一度称管理区，1999年定为村民委员会。[1]2021年1月，河源市文明委授予该村河源市2020年度文明村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

萧殷故居在竹园里，清代所建，旧屋已改建，如今只剩右侧横屋后部的一座三层角楼，高约12米，占地25平方米，夯土墙，墙面开有圆形或葫芦形的枪眼；门楣刻石为赖少其所题。[1][2]萧殷生于1915年，卒于1983年，本名郑文生，是龙川佗城人。[2]故居在2010年8月公布为龙川县级文物保护单位。[3]
