坪田村是佗城镇的行政村，村名据传是对“坑田”的误定。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
博雅地名网引传说称，亨渡的“坑田”其实是坪田的本名，被误定为坪田。1953年为乡，1957年改管理区，1963年为大队，1984年改乡，1987年设村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年成立村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，坪田村被广东省爱卫会评为2022年度广东省卫生村。[1]
