地名与沿革[edit]
村在正相塔的西边，故称塔西。1953年塔西与西山合并为塔西乡，1957年改管理区，1963年为大队，1984年改乡，1987年设村委会，1989年称塔西管理区，1999年设村民委员会；2004年，经龙川县人民政府批准，西山村委会并入塔西。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
正相塔建在村中小山丘上，当地人叫它“老塔”，为六角七层的砖砌楼阁式塔，高32.2米，据塔砖上“开元三年”的印文推定始建于唐开元三年（715年），1962年被列为广东省文物保护单位。[1][3]南宋开庆元年（1259年）吴潜被贬后住在塔下，塔遂改称正相塔。[4]塔下的正相寺在“文革”中遭破坏，1986年原址重建。[3]
坑仔里遗址是新石器时代至战国时期的遗址，1956年发现，面积约2.5万平方米，出土的鸡形壶距今约3500年，器物现藏广东省博物馆。[5]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，塔西村列入2018年度广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位；2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
