富竹村是九和镇的行政村，旧名苦竹，因村周围山上苦竹多而得名；1949年以后改称富竹。[1] 2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时称苦竹村，属古名都下黄砂社（约），民国属黄砂乡。1958年为九和公社富竹大队，1983年称九和镇富竹乡，1987年4月为九和镇富竹村，1989年成管理区，1999年撤管理区，设富竹村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

2021年4月，县政府网站公示了紫金东瑞农业发展有限公司在富竹的生态养殖项目的社会稳定风险分析报告，说明村内有该养殖项目的规划。[2]
