历史沿革[edit]
坑河两岸长满慈竹，笋味苦，当地人叫它“苦竹”。土改时，工作队认为翻身之后不应再苦，要走向富裕，便借音改写为“富竹”[1]。1950年设富竹农协会，隶永和乡；1958年起为大队，归全安人民公社，1967年并入帽子峰公社；此后称富竹乡、富竹管理区，1998年撤区设村委会，沿用至今[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
村民小组共15个，住户506家，合计2139人；面积31平方千米，耕地约2300亩[1]。村民以黄烟、水稻、花生为主要作物，也经营竹木[1]。2023年4月公布的「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单中，有富竹村[1]。
