新园社区是汕尾市城区新港街道的居委会，东起城南路，北接通航路，西与金海社区相邻。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

居委会1985年3月成立，一说此地原属第六居委辖区，2000年4月从中分出，设新园居委会，归新港街道。[1]

概况[edit]

辖区约0.01平方千米，分5个居民片，1258户、5666人，辖区内有汕尾市五千吨级码头，物流和海产品交易较为活跃。[1]2020年12月获“2020年广东省卫生村”称号，此外，2019年9月公布的省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建名单（2018年度）里也有它。[1]
