红卫渔业村是汕尾市城区新港街道的村委会，以深海捕捞为业，办公地点在市区大马路。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子50年代形成，居民来自广东、广西、海南三省的23个县市，以珠江三角洲和粤西为多，也有本地流动渔民，部分人讲粤语。他们在汕尾港落户，组成红卫大队；80年代体制改革时改称红卫管区，到1999年才成为现在的村民委员会。[1]
人口[edit]
户籍约1032户，人口4000余，可劳动者1710人。村民大多分散住在市区各居委，村辖区内只有民主广场小区一处，住400多人。[1]博雅地名网记，该村2019年10月被列入当年的省卫生村名单。[1]
