建兴村是兴宁市刁坊镇的行政村，在镇政府东面约2公里，辖13个村民小组，405户、1467人，面积约1平方公里，耕地914亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村子原属瑶光大队，分出后自立一个大队，取建功立业、繁荣兴旺之意，叫建兴[1]。1954年至1958年属瑶岗乡，1958年至1960年为瑶岗大队，1961年起分出四联、建兴、新兴三个大队，1978年至1983年仍为建兴大队，1984年与瑶岗大队合为瑶岗乡，后改称建兴村，1989年9月称管理区，1999年4月称村委会[1]。

经济[edit]

村里主要种水稻，据记载该年全村农村经济总收入1066万元；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」[1]。
