历史沿革[edit]
“建兴”二字取自“建”和“兴”：社区是2003年新设的，前身叫兴隆居委会，故以此合称[1]。兴隆居委会1987年成立[1]。2003年辖区重划，区政府批准其更名建兴社区居委会，名称延续至今[1]。
2019年9月，建兴社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」[1]。
