城郊村在蕉岭县城的城区边缘，属蕉城镇，辖19个村民小组，村情材料载有716户、2303人，总面积3.048平方千米。村内有桂岭书院、城郊棂星门、城郊状元桥和荣禄第等县城的老建筑。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名取城区与郊区之意：村委会的辖地位于蕉城城区的外围，属城乡结合部，所以叫城郊。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

桂岭书院在村内的蕉岭中学校园里，建于清康熙二十五年（1686年），2015年12月列为第八批广东省文物保护单位。[2]县人民小学校内有城郊棂星门与城郊状元桥，前者据碑刻建于乾隆二十年（1755年），后者据县志建于康熙十一年（1672年），都是县级文物保护单位。[3][4]

荣禄第是当地徐氏的祖堂，清嘉庆年间建成。同治四年（1865年），太平军余部的康王汪海洋进驻镇平县城，住在这里三个多月，并设指挥部；该宅2001年重修。[5]

经济与荣誉[edit]

村内耕地面积村情材料记作18.55亩，种植水稻、果树、蔬菜；当年村特色经济收入490万元，农村经济总收入1470万元。[1]

2019年9月，城郊村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」。[1]
