五福村在仁居圩东北约3公里，名称取自1925年改定的「五福」二字。[1]

名称由来[edit]

民国时期这里按社、保划分，称「五社」「五保」；1925年取财、丁、贵、德、康宁五样俱全之意，改称五福，沿用至今。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初期是独立的乡，1958年起改为生产大队；其后名称屡改，1987年设村民委员会，1989年改作管理区，1999年又恢复村民委员会的名称，沿用至今。[1]

据博雅地名网所载，全村下设11个村民小组，在册208户、1018人，面积11.96平方公里，耕地800亩；种烤烟、甜玉米、仙人草，并有养猪大户。[1]
