木溪村在仁居圩西北约10公里，靠近项山甑，因溪两岸树木繁茂而得名。[1]
名称由来[edit]
村处项山甑东麓，北面山势陡峻，南面丘陵起伏，溪边林木茂密，故名木溪。建国初期它与磜头、欧畲合为木溪乡。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放初期是木溪乡，1957年入高级农业社，属邹黄乡；1958年起为生产大队，归仁居公社；其后名称屡改，1987年设村民委员会，1989年改作管理区，1999年又恢复村民委员会的名称，沿用至今。[1]
概况[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，全村下设15个村民小组，在册440户、1780人，面积21.94平方公里，耕地1233亩；种脐橙、甜玉米、柑桔、烤烟，山区农户还加工竹木产品。[1]
