华光村隶属五华县梅林镇（梅州市），位于镇境南部。据博雅地名网，村内设15个村民小组，登记203户、1252人，面积5平方千米，耕地1202亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前叫沙岗村，1950年代由村中长辈商议改名华光。[1]

华光一带在1949年设华光乡，1958年起改设大队；乡政府之称见于1983年，1989年又改称管理区，直到1999年才定为华光村委会。[2]

经济与荣誉[edit]

  • 2023年2月，获「2022年度五华县文明村镇」称号。[1]
