梅南村隶属五华县梅林镇（梅州市），位于镇境南部。据博雅地名网，村内设25个村民小组，登记579户、2788人，面积10平方千米，耕地1845亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据查，清雍正十三年（乙卯年）古姓由河石到洋塘开基，周姓则从五华县横陂镇迁来，在梅林两姓居民地的南面定居，取名梅南。[1]
梅南一带在1949年设梅南乡，1958年起改设大队；乡政府之称见于1983年，1989年又改称管理区，直到1999年才定为梅南村民委员会。[2]
经济与荣誉[edit]
- 2023年2月，获「2022年度五华县文明村镇」称号。[1]
