宣优村隶属五华县梅林镇（梅州市），位于镇境东部。据博雅地名网，村内设36个村民小组，登记930户、4351人，面积8.5平方千米，耕地2763亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村旁有一座形似牛的山，原名仙牛坑；解放后改称宣优，寓意宣扬优秀的社会风气。[1]
清代，彭氏十四世祖应球公从高洋迁来此处。1949年这里属五华第十三区，1958年归梅林公社的梅南大队，改革开放初设宣优管理区，1999年改为宣优村委会。[2]
