据博雅地名网记载，村建在三条山坑之间，因此叫三坑。[1]

据博雅地名网村情（未注明年份），全村分4个村民小组，在册292户、1564人，总面积9.1平方公里，耕地约800亩，主要作物是水稻，上一年农村经济总收入785万元。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载沿革，1949年这里是三坑乡，1960年改称大队，1985年改称管理区，1999年又改为村委会，此后未变。[1]

荣誉[edit]

获2023年2月公布的2022年度五华县文明村镇称号。[1]
