布美村是广东省梅州市五华县郭田镇下辖的行政村。村内有布美四角楼。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网记载，村名取自原郭布乡和美华乡两个名字中各一字合并而成。[1]
概况[edit]
据博雅地名网村情（未注明年份），全村分26个村民小组，在册673户、3379人，总面积9.3平方公里，耕地约1400亩，主要作物是水稻，上一年农村经济总收入1310万元。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网所载沿革：1925年至1932年，古大存等人在此组织农民运动，设立布美乡农会。1949年5月属泉砂乡，设布美行政村，同年9月设布美联合村；1950年5月属郭布乡；1953年10月分设光明村、西照村；1958年属油田公社；1961年6月设光明大队、布美大队；1967年成立布美村革命委员会；1983年设布美乡人民政府，1987年改为布美管理区，1999年设立布美村委会，沿用至今。[2]
荣誉[edit]
获2023年2月公布的2022年度五华县文明村镇称号。[1]
红军标语[edit]
布美管理区的四角楼是两座依山而筑的客家大屋，名良贵楼、体章楼，墙体为灰沙夯筑，前有晒坪和半月形水池，楼内留有红军标语40多条。[3]
