地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网记载，村中黄、朱、严、苏等姓人家杂居，一度不够团结，1958年为促进团结，改名石团。[1]

据博雅地名网村情（未注明年份），全村分9个村民小组，在册215户、1160人，总面积8.2平方公里，耕地约500亩，主要作物是水稻，上一年农村经济总收入594万元。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载沿革，1948年冬村农协会成立，隶坪上乡农协会，成立石团村农协会；1949年5月属泉砂乡，设石团行政村，同年9月并入蕉州联合村；1950年5月属高坪乡；1953年10月属蕉贤乡石贤村；1958年9月属油田公社，称石团农业社；1961年6月设石团大队；1983年11月设石团乡人民政府，1987年4月改为石团管理区，1999年设立石团村委会，沿用至今。[2]

荣誉[edit]

在2017年10月，省爱国卫生运动委员会评定它为第一批广东省卫生村；2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
