据博雅地名网村情（未注明年份），全村分21个村民小组，在册389户、1881人，总面积14.1平方公里，耕地约600亩，主要作物是水稻，上一年农村经济总收入866万元。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载沿革：1925年属布美乡；1949年5月属泉砂乡，并入布美行政村，同年9月设布美联合村；1950年5月属郭布乡，设硿南村农会；1958年9月属油田公社，称硿南农业社；1961年设硿南大队，属郭田公社；1983年设硿南乡人民政府，1987年4月改为硿南管理区，1999年设立硿南村委会，沿用至今。[2]

荣誉[edit]

第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单于2021年9月由省农业农村厅公布，硿南村在列，品种为红薯。[1]
