蕉州村是广东省梅州市五华县郭田镇下辖的行政村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网记载，旧时河低田高，灌溉困难，耕地易旱，村民称之为蕉枯；解放后修建了青里窝、伯公塘两座水库，旱情缓解，粮食增产，改称蕉州。[1]

据博雅地名网村情（未注明年份），全村分32个村民小组，在册763户、4407人，总面积15.5平方公里，耕地约1300亩，主要作物是水稻，上一年农村经济总收入1708万元。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载沿革：1930年成立蕉州村农会，廖仲文等青年参加赤卫队。1949年5月属泉砂乡，设蕉州行政村，同年9月设蕉州联合村；1950年5月属高坪乡；1953年10月设蕉贤乡，下分河南、河北两村；1958年9月属油田公社；1961年6月设蕉州大队；1983年11月设蕉州乡人民政府，1987年4月改为蕉州管理区，1999年设立蕉州村委会，沿用至今。[2]

荣誉[edit]

在2017年10月，省爱国卫生运动委员会评定它为第一批广东省卫生村；获2023年2月公布的五华县2022年度文明村镇的称号；2026年1月入选广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
