隔背村在枫朗镇南部，设17个村民小组，在册388户、2049人，耕地604亩，主要种水稻。[1]

博雅地名网记载：民国初年此地曾叫「格海」，含义已无从考证，后来以隔子陂为界，陂以上的一带称隔背。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明末叫格海，清初改称隔背；1958年设隔背乡，同年10月改称大队，1986年2月起为村委会，1998年成立村民委员会。[1]

2021年12月，隔背村获广东省爱国卫生委员会授予的「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
