岭下村是广东省梅州市大埔县湖寮镇下辖的行政村，位于湖寮镇城郊北部。村内有民国广东省主席罗卓英的故居江东小筑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名起初写作「岭霞」，据村情是取朝阳照耀山岭、景色璀璨之意，后改为岭下。明代属大埔县清远都东山社的长岭村，清代归同仁社，称岭下村；民国十七年（1928年）为同仁区湖东乡，1937年改属梅河区湖东乡；1949年属第五（湖寮）区虎南乡；1952年为湖寮区岭下乡；1958年10月为湖寮公社岭下生产大队；1983年底改成岭下乡（属湖寮区）；村级建制此后依次是1986年的村委会、1988年的管理区和1998年起的村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

全村分19个村民小组，在册518户、1823人，总面积10.16平方千米，耕地880亩（村情页，未注明年份）。种植水稻、蔬菜和蜜柚，种菜、养猪、养鱼是特色收入，页面称上一年农村经济总收入1068万元。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

江东小筑位于村头，是民国广东省主席、抗日将领罗卓英的故居，客家围龙屋，进深34.2米、面宽41米，建筑面积1091平方米，占地约1402平方米；主体建筑名晓亭公祠，背山面水，前临梅潭河。据百度百科，建于20世纪30年代抗战前。2020年3月13日公布为第七批梅州市文物保护单位；百度百科另记其2022年7月23日被广东省人民政府列为第十批广东省文物保护单位。[1][3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，岭下村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
