横岗村是广东省梅州市梅县区程江镇辖下的行政村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：古时这里是城南区大和乡的一个自然村，外人进村须横越一道自北向南、长满树木的山岗，故称横岗树下；新中国成立后重新划分，因横岗树下人口集中，改称大沙尾横岗（或横岗大队），后定名横岗村。[1]

清嘉庆年间属程乡县，民国时属梅县大竹乡大竹堡；1962年改称横岗大队，此后于1988年成为管理区，1999年设村委会。[1]

著名人物[edit]

园林专家余森文（1903年至1992年）为横岗村人，曾任杭州市园林局局长、杭州市副市长、中国园林学会副会长。[2]
