历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来，博雅地名网记为：旧时此处地势低洼，积水成潮，湖形像螺旋，称旋螺湖，后湖变为池塘，改称古塘。[1]古塘大队的名称始于1960年，1983年归梅县市程江管理区，到1999年成为古塘村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
古塘村曾三度获省级名目：2019年9月被列入省民主法治示范村（社区）创建名单（2018年度）；2023年4月被列为乡村治理示范村创建单位（2022年度）；2026年1月又入选第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
