岑元村是桥头镇的行政村之一，位于肇庆市怀集县，在桥头镇西北边，毗邻封开县莲都镇，距圩镇14公里，面积16平方千米，下有11个村小组，居民5900人（该页未注明年份），是镇里较偏远的村之一。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村由两个村合并而成，取岑刘村和荐元村各一字为名。[1]
1956年将岑元乡分为光辉、光明、光景三个社；1958年改为生产大队；1960年代后三个大队合并为岑元大队；1988年起称岑元乡；1989年起称岑元管理区；1998年改为岑元村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里种玉桂、板栗、三华李、沙糖桔，并养殖石山羊。[1]
