双坪村是梅县区畲江镇的行政村，村名传说来自村中的两处坪地。[1]

地名由来与沿革[edit]

传说村里有两处坪地，一在坪上，一在双上，因此叫双坪。1949年设双坪乡，1958年立双坪大队，管理区设于1997年，村民委员会则在1999年成立。[1]

双坪村列入广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，名单于2019年9月公布。[1]
