历史沿革[edit]

1949年9月隶上麻乡；1951年底立中心乡；1957年底属麻榨乡鳌溪村；1958年10月起为鳌溪大队；1961年起称鳌溪公社中心大队；1963年1月又并回鳌溪大队；1971年重设中心大队；1984年3月归鳌溪乡；1987年1月组建村民委员会，至1989年10月叫管理区，1999年4月后为现名。[1]

2026年1月，中心村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
