在龙门县麻榨镇境内，南滩村为镇属十八个行政村之一。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年9月，南滩属下麻乡；1951年底立南滩乡；1957年底为麻榨乡南滩村；1958年10月起为南滩大队；1984年3月改为南滩乡；1987年1月组建村民委员会，至1989年10月叫管理区，1999年4月后为现名。桂村、坑口、横汉、坳头等村在20世纪中叶都曾归南滩管辖。[1]
博雅地名网记载的村名来历是：解放前有一位外地人来此放鸭，见前有河流、河中有沙滩岛，便在此建起坐北朝南的村子，叫作南滩。2019年9月，南滩村上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
