历史沿革[edit]
1949年9月，这里属下麻乡；1951年底属南滩乡；1957年底属麻榨乡南滩村；1961年单设桂村大队；1963年1月又并入南滩大队；1984年3月归南滩乡；1987年1月组建桂村村民委员会，至1989年10月叫管理区，1999年4月后定为现名。[1]
2021年12月，广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予桂村「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
